Anne Springs Close Greenway

The Anne Springs Close Greenway is situated in Rock Hill, SC, which is 30 minutes away from Charlotte. The campsites at Anne Springs Close provide a picnic table and fire pit, and campers can stay for up to a week. Camping at this facility requires a reservation, and individual camping is not allowed. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities, such as mountain biking, fishing, and horseback riding. There are also campsites with free frost-free hydrants and paddocks for horses. It is a fantastic place to enjoy a beautiful night under the stars.

Ebenezer Park

In York County, South Carolina (about 35 minutes from Charlotte), Ebenezer Park features 26 acres for family fun. It's situated on the shore of Lake Wylie and offers a variety of recreational activities. Ebenezer Park has 66 sites ideal for camping. It features picnic tables, grills, showers, and restrooms. Those wanting to explore the lake can do so by boat or fishing trips with knowledgeable guides.

McDowell Nature Preserve

Located in Charlotte, McDowell Nature Preserve has 56 campsites. These sites are divided into primitive tent sites and RV hook-up campsites. To camp here, spaces must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance. Family-friendly facilities, such as playgrounds, laundry, and bathrooms, are available at the campsite. McDowell Nature Preserve is situated on Lake Wylie, and this region has various activities for visitors, such as fishing, hiking, and camping. 

Cobble Hill Campground

Cobble Hill Campground is an excellent place for families to gather and enjoy some quality time together. This area has many activities, such as fishing, swimming, and mini golf. Those wanting to explore can visit one of the many attractions within a short drive away. You can enjoy the beach or hike in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Linville Falls Campground

If you're looking for a great camping location a little further from Charlotte, then Linville Falls Campground might be just what you need. This area, about two hours from Charlotte, offers various campsites, cabins, and RV spots. The sites at the campground come with picnic tables, fire pits, and grills. Linville Falls Campground is near the Linville Gorge and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Numerous hiking trails lead you through the gorge, so this area is a must-visit for nature lovers.
